Such was the case when I found myself face to face with a failed Macbook charger, and figured it’d be a simple fix. It’s usually the connector that goes first. USB-C cables for 29 W or 30 W will work with any USB-C power adapter, but will not provide enough power when connected to a power adapter with a power greater than 61 W, for example, an adapter 96 W USB-C power supply.
